The MAS Turtle Shell Fund has provided local public elementary schools with grants for art supplies and impetus to participate in our Soupstock art competition, as well as spur their own art exhibits with the funds we have donated. Our yearly scholarship program provides $1000 for graduating Shelton High School students pursuing arts education and our local outreach has provided funds for summer theater camp students to attend sessions at Center Stage, a local non-profit theater organization. With a meager budget (provided entirely by public support) we still manage to find ways to enrich our community's awareness of the arts and creative pursuits. Our annual fundraising events, Soupstock and 'In Love and Chocolate', have not only brought our community together in pursuit of fine food, art and music, but have raised a little money to help people in their own creative pursuits.
